A dirt avenue lined with giant baobabs with swollen trunks, some 800 years old, that at sunset stand out black against an orange sky. Madagascar is also home to the lemurs, those primates with enormous eyes that exist only here.
The film «Madagascar» made the island famous, with its lion, its zebra and its giraffe… but those animals don't really live here: they are a fun invention. The real stars of Madagascar are these enormous baobabs and the lemurs, which exist nowhere else on the planet.
